I created the franchise TwitPic Theater for TheSmokingJacket. TwitPic Theater is a weekly roundup of photos tweeted by Playboy models. It quickly became one of the biggest trafficking features on TheSmokingJacket. TwitPic Theater became a template for sourcing web content from social media, using our audience and our models’ own Twitter audiences to promote the content. Social media also proved to be an inexpensive way to produce lots of digital content for Playboy.com and TheSmokingJacket. This led to the creation of similar features like Hot Shots and #FriskyFriday and also live tweeting of all Playboy parties and photo shoots.
I pitched a themed version of TwitPic Theater to Cartoon Network for a campaign promoting Adult Swim’s Venture Bros. I developed the feature and the execution plan. I produced the feature and worked as wardrobe stylist providing costuming and directing models so they appeared like a real-life Dr. Girlfriend, a character from Venture Bros. The campaign was a massive success. Over the last two years, themed versions of TwitPic Theater, #FriskyFriday, and Hot Shots have become a huge revenue generator for Playboy with themed executions for companies like Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures, HBO, and more.
