I produced Playboy’s campaign for the release of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Mortal Kombat. The campaign included display ads, homepage takeovers, and a video feature to appear on Playboy.com and The Playboy Audience Network (YouTube, Break.com, Metacafe, DailyMotion, etc.). The Playboy campaign was a major success with hundreds of thousands of video views on Playboy.com and over half a million views on YouTube.
I budgeted the campaign and developed the concept and the script with the client and their agency. I reached out to the UFC with hopes of pitting our Gamer Next Door Jo Garcia against Playboy cover model and UFC Ring Girl Arianny Celeste. The UFC agreed and volunteered to let us shoot in a UFC gym near LA. Before the shoot, Arianny Celeste dropped out, but another Ring Girl and now Playboy cover model Brittney Palmer filled in.
I supervised pre-production logistics and developed the budget. I also served as prop stylist. I worked with Warner Bros. to get advance game footage to fit our script and supervised a pre-shoot edit of the in-game footage used in the video. I provided creative direction and supervised the post-production edit of the video.
I also worked with UFC and was able to get the video featured on UFC’s website as added value for the client.
