In November of 2010, Playboy sold the exclusive sponsorship of a Playmate of the Year micro-site, pmoy.playboy.com, to run for 6 months leading up to the June 2011 reveal of the 2010 Playmate of the Year.
I produced the project and supervised daily content updates. I worked with Playboy’s Director of Content and teams of web designers and coders to create and launch the micro-site in less than a month.
I regularly worked with the twelve 2010 Playmates to create content. With an extremely small production budget, I relied heavily and successfully on content sourced from social media. Twitter pictures and videos turned out to be a solution that was budget neutral and delivered traffic. Fans loved a real peek into the everyday life of Playmates and I sent each Playmate was sent a Flip Cam to get more. They regularly submitted videos of their daily adventures. I used the videos as content on pmoy.playboy.com and also worked with our mobile division to create exclusive content for Playboy Mobile.
The success of the site and the design ultimately led to pmoy.playboy.com being used as the template for the 2011 redesign of Playboy.com.
