I created TwitPic Theater, a weekly roundup of photos Tweeted by our models, and also created a campaign for Cartoon Network’s Venture Bros. that featured our models tweeting photos dressed in Venture Bros. themed lingerie. The campaign was a massive success. Over the last few years we have had huge success with advertiser themed versions of TwitPic Theater and a similar feature called #FriskyFriday.
For Universal Pictures American Reunion, I pitched an apple pie themed #FriskyFriday that would have our models tweet sexy photos involving apple pie. The photos are tweeted by Playmates and retweeted and curated by Playboy into a post on Playboy.com and a gallery on Facebook. For an advertiser, the combination of exposure on Playboy’s websites, official social media accounts, and on our models’ social media accounts – some of which rival @Playboy for followers – provides a powerful promotional punch. Since the first themed TwitPic Theater, features like this have become a massive source of advertising revenue for Playboy.
